Deltec Abschäumer zeichnen sich durch sehr gute Abschäumergebnisse aus. Der Deltec Skimmer 600i verfügt über einen neu entwickelten Notüberlauf. Dieser verhindert das “Überkochen” des Abschäumers bei verringerter Luftzufuhr zum Beispiel durch Abknicken des Silikonschlauches oder Fremdkörper in der Luftansaugleitung. Bei einer Verringerung der Luftzufuhr steigt der Wasserstand im Abschäumer an. Dies kann im Extremfall dazu führen, dass der Abschäumer überkocht und dass das Wasser so hoch steigt, dass es in den Schaumtopf gedrückt wird und der Dreck wieder in das Aquarium gespült wird. Dies führt dann zu einer extremen Belastung des Wassers. Durch den Notüberlauf wird verhindert, dass das Wasser über ein bestimmtes Niveau steigt und es zu besagtem Überkochen kommen kann.

Pumpe:
Der Deltec Skimmer 600i wird mit der Deltec Pumpe DCC2 betrieben. Diese 24V Gleichstrompumpe ist mit Hilfe eines achtstufigen Controllers regelbar und kann dadurch perfekt auf den Wasserstand und die Wasserbelastung eingestellt werden. Auf der (für die meisten Aquarien) optimalen Stufe 3, werden mit nur 11 Watt ca. 500 Liter Luft erzeugt.
Zylinderform:
Durch die ergonomische Zylinderform erzielt der Deltec Skimmer 600i beste Ergebnisse beim Abschäumen. Die Form des Abschäumers verjüngt sich nicht nach oben. Damit können die kleinen Luftblasen ungehindert aufsteigen, sind voll gesättigt und zerplatzen erst im Steigrohr des Schaumtopfes. Von dort kann über einen Ablassschlauch die gesammelt Brühe abgelassen werden, ohne den Schaumtopf herunter nehmen zu müssen.
Notüberlauf & Reglerrohr:
Am Notüberlaufrohr kann der Wasserstand im Abschäumer abgelesen wer. Desweiteren helfen die Markierungen für Minimum und Maximum bei der perfekten Einstellung des Wasserstands. Durch die Möglichkeite das Notüberlaufrohr mit dem Reglerrohr zu tauschen, können Sie selbst entscheiden, wie die Rohre angeordnet werden.
Hohlkammerboden:
Eine weitere Innovation des Deltec Skimmer 600i ist der Hohlkammerboden. Dadurch wird die Geräuschentwicklung gedämpft, wodurch der ohnehin schon ruhige Abschäumer als “flüsterleise” bezeichnet werden kann. Hinzu kommt dass das Wasser durch den Hohlkammerboden zurück fließt, das bedeutet das Wasser wird an der tiefmöglichsten Stelle aus dem Abschäumer geführt, wodurch nahezu keine Luftblasen mehr in das Aquarium strömen können.
Demontage, Abmessungen & Aufbau:
Die regelmäßig erforderliche Reinigung der Pumpe ist durch die einfache und schnelle Demontage des Abschäumer sehr einfach.
Laut Hersteller kann die Pumpe in weniger als Sekunden aus dem Abschäumer ausgebaut werden.
Der Deltec Skimmer 00i kann ohne Werkzeug montiert und demontiert werden.
